Ninth Meeting: Construct the Project
Put everything together. Design it and even paint it if you'd like. It's your project, enjoy it.
Announcements, meeting recaps, new resources, and event notices.
Put everything together. Design it and even paint it if you'd like. It's your project, enjoy it.
Design and Model your chassis and other parts needed, then send them off to print. You'll be given restrictions to challenge you.
Updated syllabus meeting dates to reflect the new schedule.
The original schedule has us meeting on November 11th for our eighth meeting, but it had overlapped with Veteran's Day, so we've pushed back the meeting (along with the following ones) by one week. The syllabus was also updated to reflect the change.
The original plan was to go outside and test the project out, but due to an underestimation in the difficulty of designing the chassis, the project was sadly unfinished by the end of the semester. It will not go to trash though! It will be finished the following semester.
You'll be using the wiring diagram provided to put together the entire circuit. Next, you'll be testing the code with all components connected.
Learn the connectivity of an Arduino and how to wire up the simple circuit using wiring diagrams. You'll learn why some components were used and how they work. Members were also allowed to continue soldering if they couldn't get a chance to try the first time.
A presentation for some common electrical and mechanical components as well as discussing the functionality of the Arduino Code being used. Members were also allowed to continue soldering if they couldn't get a chance to try the first time.
Added 2025 RC Car Repository alongside all of the code and the wiring diagram for the club members to access.
Added Soldering and Electrical Components Powerpoints to the github for the club members to have access.
We'll be teaching a lesson on soldering, including the ways to keep yourself safe from the potential dangers. Then we'll offer members the ability to try out soldering on small circuit kits.
We'll be teaching the basics of CAD (Computer Aided Design) and offer projects each member can do anytime they'd like. In this lesson, we'll be creating a 2x2 lego brick, based on the official specifications.
Members will team up and create bridges uses minimal sheets of printer paper and compete to construct the strongest design.
For the first meeting, we'll be having introductions and icebreakers, along with a general discussion about the roadmap of the semester.
We at the Engineering Club are thrilled to announce the first meeting of the Fall 2025 Semester on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 11:15AM!
For the first meeting, we’ll be having introductions and icebreakers, along with a general discussion about the roadmap of the semester.
For this semester, we’ll be meeting on Tuesdays from 11:15AM to 12:30PM in Drescher Hall Room 111; with more workshop hours spread throughout the week (and more TBD).
Come join us to discover new opportunities, skills, and friendships!
