Objectives
- Perform basic modeling in various 3D CAD programs.
- Solder wires and electrical components onto PCBs.
- Learn about how some electrical components work.
- Deepen your collaborative abilities.
Our Mission
Here at the Santa Monica College Engineering Club, we'll use hands-on learning through workshops and projects to entertain and educate future STEM extraordinaires with the basic skills to fuel upcoming endeavors and hobbies.
Tools/Resources
During the semester you'll have access to the following:
- Software: SolidWorks, Onshape, Fusion 360, Arduino IDE + more!
- Hardware: 3D printers (with permission), soldering stations (with permission), and computers with SolidWorks.

SMC Club Awareness
No club meeting on 9/29 because it's Club Awareness Day. Come by our table next to the main quad. Our next meeting is 10/6, with a CAD presentation.
Paper Bridge Single-day Project
Teams competed to build the strongest paper bridge. Team 8 set a new club record at 5.7kg, and teams 6 and 9 tied at 5kg for second place.
